Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit for the LA to San Diego Day Tour! Kids are more than welcome, which makes it a great family outing. Just keep in mind that younger children might not be as engaged at the USS Midway Museum, but the harbor cruise and Old Town are usually a hit with all ages.
A: Typically, the tour goes on rain or shine! The USS Midway Museum is indoors, and the harbor cruise operates in most weather conditions. However, heavy rain might lead to rescheduling, so be sure to check their policy or call ahead if the forecast looks sketchy.
A: You’ll have a decent amount of time at each spot! Around 2 hours at the USS Midway, a solid hour for the harbor cruise, and a couple of hours to explore Balboa Park and Old Town. The itinerary is pretty well balanced, so you won’t feel rushed.

Just did the LA to San Diego Day Tour! Here’s my experience!
I recently took the LA to San Diego Day Tour, and it was awesome! The USS Midway Museum was super interesting, especially with the audio guide. The harbor cruise was a relaxing break—you get some great views of the skyline! Old Town had amazing shops and food. We had about 2 hours there, which was perfect. The guide was really knowledgeable too! I highly recommend this for a day out.
Thinking of gifting the San Diego tour—thoughts?
I’m considering getting this LA to San Diego Day Tour for my parents. They love history and the outdoors. Can anyone share how the Balboa Park experience is? Is it easy for older folks to navigate?
