Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the surf lessons? I'm thinking of gifting this to my 12-year-old nephew.

A: Wavehuggers welcomes kids as young as 8 for the surf lessons, so your 12-year-old nephew should fit right in! Just make sure he's comfortable in the water and knows how to follow instructions, as the instructors focus on safety and technique. It's a great way for him to learn and have fun at the same time!

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather's bad? I really don’t want to waste a trip to Laguna Beach.

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the conditions aren't safe for surfing! Wavehuggers is super flexible and they’ll work with you to find a better date. Just make sure to call them ahead of time and check their cancellation policy when you book.

Q: What should I wear for the surf lessons? Do I need to bring anything special?

A: You'll be provided with a wetsuit, so just wear a swimsuit underneath. Bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for after the lesson. Also, don’t forget your water bottle to stay hydrated, especially if it’s sunny out!
