Q&A
A: Kids can definitely join! The tour is designed for all skill levels, so as long as they’re comfortable on the water, they’re good to go. Just check with the provider for any specific age requirements, but generally, it's family-friendly. I took my 10-year-old niece last summer, and we had a blast!
A: Definitely dress for warm weather! Lightweight clothing is best, maybe a swimsuit underneath. And don’t forget sunscreen—those rays can be intense out on the water. A hat and sunglasses are helpful too. You’ll be on beautiful Lake Mead, so you might get wet a bit, but it’s all part of the fun!
A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure to contact Desert Adventures at least 48 hours in advance. They’re pretty accommodating, but last-minute changes might not be possible. I had to move my date once, and it was super easy as long as I called in time!

Thinking about booking the Lake Mead kayak trip—anyone done it?
I’m considering this for my partner's birthday! The idea of paddling on Lake Mead sounds amazing, especially with the wildlife and scenery. What’s the lunch they provide like? Is it actually healthy? Also, how hard is the actual kayaking? I'm a total newbie!
Just got back from the Lake Mead kayak adventure—so much fun!
Wow, I can’t recommend this enough! I went with a couple of friends, and we had the best time on Lake Mead. The guide was awesome and super chill. We saw some cool wildlife too. Just be ready for the sun and have water shoes if you can—some of the spots can be rocky!
