The first ever National Recreational Area Lake mead will offer you space tranquility and the opportunity to relax and take amazing pictures. Paddle within the protected area away from power craft or be more adventurous and paddle over to explore Boulder & deadman’s island. Our rental team will instruct you on the basics of paddling before launching you on your way. We proved the kayaks, paddles, and the required life jackets.

Q: Can you reschedule the kayak rental if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, you can absolutely reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate. It's best to check with Veteran Kayaks at least 24 hours in advance. They’re pretty flexible with their policies, and they want you to have a great experience on the water!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to kayak with you?

A: Kids can definitely join! Generally, they recommend that kids be at least 8 years old to paddle in their own kayak. Younger kids can go with an adult in a tandem kayak. Just make sure they fit the life jackets properly!

Q: What should I wear for the kayak rental?

A: Wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet, like a swimsuit or quick-dry shorts. Also, consider bringing a hat and sunscreen since you’ll be out in the sun. They do provide life jackets, so you’ll be safe!
