Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for kids aged 10 and up since the hike can be challenging. Kids should be able to handle walking 6-8 miles and be comfortable in rugged terrain. You might want to check with Packer Expeditions if you have younger kids looking to join, but a hiking buddy is definitely a plus!
A: Dress in layers! The weather can change quickly in Alaska. Wear moisture-wicking base layers and bring a good waterproof jacket. Don't forget sturdy hiking boots because the terrain can be slippery, especially on the glacier. The tour provides rain gear and warm layers, but your own boots are essential for comfort!
A: If the weather is really bad, they offer reschedules or refunds. Always check the forecast closer to your date. Packer Expeditions has a good reputation for keeping customers in the loop about conditions, so you won't be left in the dark. Just keep in touch with them, and you'll be good!

Can anyone share their experience on the Laughton Glacier hike?
I’m thinking of gifting this hike to my partner for our anniversary! The train ride sounds awesome, and I really want to hike on a glacier. What’s it like? Is it worth the price? We're not hardcore hikers, so I’m a little worried about that. Any tips?
Just did the Laughton Glacier hike and it was EPIC!
Wow, just got back from the hike and I can’t recommend it enough! The train ride on the White Pass was beautiful. Hiking on the glacier was surreal! The guides were fantastic and made sure everyone was safe and had fun. It’s a decent workout, but they set a nice pace. Bring your camera, you'll want to capture everything!
