Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's recommended for ages 10 and up. Younger kids may need a bit more help from an adult. The workshop is pretty hands-on, so older teens and adults will enjoy it too! Just bring your creativity and don't forget the aloha spirit!
A: Casual clothes are perfect for this workshop! Since you'll be working with natural materials, it's best to avoid anything too fancy. You might want to wear something you don't mind getting a little messy. And don't forget sunscreen if you're heading there early in the day!
A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, you can definitely reschedule! The instructors are really flexible and will work with you to find another date. Just make sure to contact them in advance so they can accommodate you. It's all about making sure everyone has a great experience!

Just did the Lauhala Fish Making Workshop! Here's my experience!
I went to the Lauhala Fish Making Workshop at the Aloaliʻi Cultural Resource Center last week and it was so much fun! The location is beautiful, right inside the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort. The instructors were super friendly and really guided us through the whole process. I loved how my fish ornament turned out! It’s such a unique gift idea, and it only cost nothing! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun activity on the Big Island!
Considering the Lauhala Fish Making Workshop for a birthday gift!
I'm thinking of getting my best friend the Lauhala Fish Making Workshop for her birthday. She loves crafting and has never done anything like this before. The idea of making a fish from lauhala is so cool! Has anyone done it? How did you like it? Any tips for a first-timer?
