However, if you are looking for a more laid back experience, the captain is equipped to handle the vessel solo. In addition you will be in the hands of captains that are incredibly excited for the sport of sailing and will infuse the experience with a deep enthusiasm for the beauty and art of sailing ! Last but not least Biscayne Bay is the most stunning back drop to the City of Miami !

Q: Is there an age limit for participants in the sailing experience?

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 12 years old to participate actively. Younger kids can come along as long as they’re supervised. It’s best to check with Sail Ahead Miami ahead of time to ensure they're comfortable with younger sailors on board.

Q: What do we wear for the sailing experience? Is it casual?

A: Definitely keep it casual! Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit wet. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses – it can get super sunny out there. Closed-toe shoes are a plus, too, since the deck can be slippery.

Q: How do rescheduling policies work if the weather is bad?

A: Sail Ahead Miami is pretty flexible about rescheduling. If the weather’s not cooperating, they'll reach out to you to arrange a new date. Just remember to keep an eye on the forecast and communicate with them in advance if you have concerns.

I just got back from the sailing experience in Biscayne Bay, and wow, it was hands-on as advertised! We really felt like part of the crew, and the view of Miami was stunning. I definitely recommend it! Make sure you bring sunglasses and maybe a hat. Can't wait to go again!
