Q&A
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get really chilly, especially if you're planning to hang around outside for the lights and food. I'd recommend a warm coat, gloves, and a hat. Also, wear comfortable shoes because you'll be walking around the village a bit. The last time I went, I was thankful for my thermal socks, too!
A: Not really! The carriage rides are family-friendly and perfect for all ages. Just keep in mind that if you have little kids, you might want to check if there are any restrictions on how many people can ride at once. The last time I was there, families were having a blast on the rides and kids loved it!
A: The transportation is super convenient! They provide a bus from downtown Seattle, so you don’t have to worry about parking. It’s all included, and you get dropped off right in the village. Just make sure to show up at the pickup spot on time. Traffic can be a bit messy during the holiday season, so plan accordingly!

Just got back from the Leavenworth Village of Lights Festival!
I went to the festival last weekend and it was absolutely enchanting! The lights are just stunning, especially at night. We took the bus from downtown Seattle, which made it so easy. The German food—OMG, the bratwurst and hot chocolate were to die for! We even splurged on the carriage ride, which was a highlight of the trip. Can't recommend this enough for a festive day out!
Anyone else considering gifting the Leavenworth trip?
I’m thinking about gifting this experience to my parents for the holidays. They love Christmas lights and German food! I’m just a bit nervous about the logistics, especially with the bus ride. Can anyone share their experiences? Also, did you feel like it was worth the price?
