Have you ever wanted to go sailing in the San Francisco Bay area but didn’t know anyone with a boat? Come sail with me, Captain John. Let me share my passion for sailing with you. I’m a U.S. certified sailing instructor and licensed by the U.S Coast Guard and fully insured. The boat, Temptation, was purchased in 2006 brand new. She is a modern, luxury 37-foot sailing yacht. I have lived here for almost 50 years and can be your tour guide on the water. Just sit back, relax and enjoy a great day of sailing the SF bay with your friends and family. Sailing aboard my boat, Temptation, is a great economical way to spend a memorable day on the beautiful San Francisco Bay. It’s so much fun!

Q: Is there an age limit for participants on the sailing trip?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but it's best for kids 10 and up. They should be able to follow safety instructions and enjoy the experience. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need extra supervision. Everyone should wear a life jacket, which John provides.

Q: What should we wear for the sailing trip? Is it cold on the water?

A: Dressing in layers is key! It can be chilly on the water, especially in the morning. A light jacket or windbreaker is a good idea. Also, wear closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting wet, and don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather turns bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather isn’t suitable for sailing. John will contact you if conditions are looking dangerous. He’s pretty flexible, so just reach out to him if you need to change the date.

Had an unforgettable sailing experience with Captain John!

I just got back from a morning sail on San Francisco Bay with Captain John and it was amazing! The boat, Temptation, is so nice and comfortable. John shared lots of interesting facts about the bay while we sailed around. We saw the Golden Gate and even some sea lions! Highly recommend this for a unique gift or just a fun day out. Be sure to dress in layers because it can get chilly on the water!

I’m considering this sailing experience for my partner’s anniversary. Has anyone done it? I want to make it special! Are there any particular times that are best for the sail? I heard mornings are nice but I’m curious about sunsets too. What do you all think?
