Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this cruise? Thinking of taking my family.

A: There’s no specific age limit! Kids are welcome and it’s a great family-friendly experience. Just make sure they can sit still for the duration of the cruise, as it can be a bit long for little ones. Additionally, the crew is super accommodating if you need anything.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Do they cancel the cruise?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they usually reschedule for another day. You can contact their office for the most accurate updates. It’s best to check the forecast ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. They do have a weatherproof deck, but safety comes first!

Q: Is parking easy at Bowen's Wharf? How early should we arrive?

A: Parking can be tricky during peak season, especially on weekends. There are several nearby lots, but they fill up fast. I’d recommend arriving at least 30-45 minutes early to find a spot and get settled. You don’t want to miss the boat!

Anyone done the Lighthouse and Mimosa Cruise? Looking for tips!

I’m thinking of getting tickets for the Lighthouse and Mimosa Cruise in Newport for my girlfriend's birthday. I heard they have mimosas and it’s a narrated tour of the lighthouses, which sounds awesome! Has anyone done this? Any tips on what to wear or how the experience was?

Just got back from the Lighthouse cruise!

Wow, what an experience! The narration was super informative, and we even spotted some seals! The mimosas were flowing, and the crew was so friendly. We started from Bowen's Wharf, and honestly, I think it’s a must-do if you’re in Newport. Be prepared for stunning views of the mansions and the lighthouses!
