Q&A
A: There isn’t a strict age limit, but it's generally recommended for kids aged 6 and up since the hike can be a bit challenging in parts. Kids younger than 6 can come along, but you might want to consider bringing a carrier or stroller for them on the easier parts of the trail. It’s a great family activity, though!
A: Definitely dress in layers! The weather in the Rockies can change pretty quickly. I'd recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes, moisture-wicking clothing, and bringing a light jacket. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat, too! The llamas don't mind the weather, but you want to stay comfy during the hike.
A: If the weather is too severe, they’ll typically reschedule your experience. You can contact Kara and her team ahead of time to check the forecast and see if adjustments are needed. They’re really flexible and prioritize safety, so no worries there!

Thinking about gifting the Llama Lunch experience — any tips?
Hey everyone! I'm considering gifting the Llama Lunch in Staunton State Park to my sister for her birthday. It sounds so fun with the gourmet picnic and all! Has anyone done this? How was the hiking with the llamas? Any tips for a first-timer?
Just completed the Llama Lunch experience, it was a blast!
I went on the Llama Lunch trek last week and it was such a cool experience! The llamas are adorable, and the picnic by the ponds was delicious. I loved learning about the history of the area too. Definitely would recommend it for anyone who loves nature or just wants a unique day out!
