Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit, but kids should be at least 5 or 6 to handle a llama safely. It's a pretty mellow hike, so as long as they can walk comfortably for about an hour, they'll do fine. Just keep in mind that younger kids might get tired, especially at that altitude!
A: If the weather is too bad, they usually reschedule the hike to ensure everyone has a great experience. They keep close tabs on the forecast, so you should hear from them a day in advance if there's an issue. Just make sure to check your emails!
A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes! The path is gravel and grass, so good sneakers or hiking shoes are ideal. I'd also suggest layering because the temperature changes quickly up there. And maybe a light jacket since it gets cooler at sunset!

Thinking about gifting the Llama Sunset Hike!
I'm considering this experience for my sister's birthday. She loves animals, and who wouldn’t want to hike with llamas at sunset?! The views sound incredible. Has anyone done this? Is it as awesome as it sounds?
Just finished the Llama Sunset Hike and WOW!
I went on the Llama Sunset Hike last weekend and it was one of the best experiences ever! The way up was so chill, and walking with those llamas felt like a dream. The sunset views from 3500 ft were breathtaking. Totally recommend it for anyone looking for a unique adventure in Maui!
