Explore two of the most picturesque places in the Southwest! You will stop at Horseshoe Bend where your guide will walk you down to the overlook to see incredible views of the Colorado River 1,000 feet below! The walk from the parking lot to the overlook is 0.75 mile each way (1.5 miles round trip). You will travel to Lower Antelope Canyon where a local Navajo guide will walk you through the slot canyon. This portion of the tour normally lasts 60-75 minutes. You may have six to eleven other guests with you and your guide during this portion of the tour. Lower Antelope Canyon is known for its magnificent sandstone rock formations and vibrant colors. Each room has a stunning 360° view! You must wear sturdy shoes, be able to go up and down steep bolted steps and platforms in the slot canyon, and walk on uneven ground. Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Lower Antelope Canyon tour? Is it really steep?

A: Definitely wear sturdy hiking shoes! The steps in Lower Antelope Canyon can be steep and a bit tricky, so good footwear is key. I'd recommend breathable clothes since it can get warm, and don't forget sunscreen! Also, a hat is useful for Horseshoe Bend because you'll be out in the sun.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the tour? I want to take my 8-year-old.

A: Kids are definitely welcome! Just keep in mind that they need to be able to handle the walking and the steps. My 9-year-old loved it! Just make sure they’re comfortable with the hike to Horseshoe Bend and can manage some stair climbing in the canyon.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad? How does that work?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! The tour operator is pretty flexible with weather issues. If they think conditions aren't safe, they'll help you find another date. Just make sure to give them a call as soon as you know something’s up!

Thinking of gifting the Antelope Canyon tour - any thoughts?

I’m considering gifting the Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend tour for my brother’s birthday. He loves hiking and photography. The idea of seeing those colors in the canyon is just stunning! But I’m a bit worried about how strenuous it is. Would it be okay for someone not super fit?
