Q&A

Q: Can you reschedule this Lower Manhattan tour if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can reschedule the tour! Just make sure to contact the provider at least 48 hours in advance. They’re usually pretty flexible if you give them enough notice. It’s always a good idea to check their cancellation policy just to be sure.

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? Thinking of getting it for my kids.

A: There’s no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s best for kids 10 and up. They might get a bit bored otherwise. The walking is pretty easy, but keep in mind it’s about 2.5 hours long! Just make sure they can handle that.

Q: What should we wear for the walking tour? Is it mostly outdoors?

A: Definitely dress comfortably! You’ll be walking quite a bit outdoors around Lower Manhattan. I’d recommend wearing sneakers and layering up depending on the weather, since you’ll be out by the water on the ferry too. Also, don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Thinking about the Lower Manhattan Historical Tour - any tips?

I’m considering getting the Lower Manhattan Historical Guided Walking Tour for my dad's birthday. He loves history and NYC! I just want to know if it’s really worth it or if it’s too much walking. Also, how's the ferry ride to Staten Island? Is it really that good for pictures? Any advice would be awesome!

Just did the Lower Manhattan tour - loved it!

I went on the Lower Manhattan Historical Guided Walking Tour last weekend and it was fantastic! Starting at Castle Clinton was cool, and the guide had so many interesting stories. The ferry ride was a highlight, especially seeing the skyline at sunset. Definitely recommend stopping for the bagels at Liberty Bagels - they were delicious! Anyone else done this?
