Q&A
A: There's no strict minimum age for children, but I'd say it's best for kids who are old enough to walk and enjoy the tour. They will need to handle some uneven ground and potentially long walks, so your 8-year-old should be just fine! Just be sure to bring snacks and maybe a flashlight for added fun!
A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather is really bad! Just give the tour company a call as soon as you can, and they’ll work with you to find a new date. Just keep an eye on weather forecasts, sometimes it can be unpredictable up in the mountains.
A: The pick-up is usually at a designated spot which is pretty easy to find, and there are typically a few parking options nearby. Just make sure to arrive a bit early if you’re driving, as street parking can be a hassle during peak hours. They’ll give you all the details once you book!

Looking to book a Luray Caverns tour for my family - any tips?
I'm really considering this private tour to Luray Caverns from DC. It sounds awesome! My kids are ages 5 and 8, and I’m worried they might get bored or tired. What was the tour like? Any must-dos while we’re there? Also, how early do we need to book it? Thanks!
Just did the Luray Caverns tour – amazing experience!
We just came back from the Luray Caverns tour and wow, it was incredible! The drive from DC was smooth, and the caves are stunning. The tour guide (shoutout to Mike!) was super knowledgeable. Perfect for a family day trip! We had a blast exploring. Would definitely recommend it as a gift.
