Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the catamaran?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 5 years old to enjoy the experience comfortably. The crew does a great job keeping everyone safe and entertained, and they even have life jackets for all sizes. Just keep in mind that if it gets rocky out there, younger kids might not enjoy it as much, so it might be best suited for older ones!

Q: Can you bring your own food and drinks on board?

A: Yes! You can definitely bring your own food and drinks. They provide two coolers for storage, so just pack what you want to enjoy while sailing. It’s a perfect way to have a little picnic on the water, plus you won’t have to worry about overpriced snacks from elsewhere!

Q: What’s the best time of year to do a sailing charter in San Diego?

A: Honestly, any time of year is great! But I’d recommend late spring through early fall for the best weather and calmest seas. Summer can get kinda busy, but the sunsets are absolutely stunning. Just check the forecast before you go to avoid any weather surprises.

Thinking of booking the Malarky for a birthday gift, any thoughts?

Hey everyone! I’m considering booking the Luxury Catamaran Sailing Charter on the Malarky for my sister's birthday in August. Has anyone done this? I love the idea of a nice day on the water, plus I heard you can bring your own food and drinks. Do they have good seating for lounging? How’s the vibe with the crew?

Just got back from a sailing trip on the Malarky - AMAZING!

I had the best time on the Malarky last weekend! The views of San Diego were stunning, and the crew was so friendly. We brought our own snacks and drinks, and enjoyed them while sailing around the bay. The state rooms are beautiful too! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique experience.
