Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds tour?

A: There's no specific age limit, but I saw families with kids as young as 5 enjoying it! Just keep in mind that the boat ride and Cave of the Winds can be a bit intense with all the mist and noise. I'd recommend bringing a raincoat for the kids since they can get soaked. Definitely a fun experience for the whole family!

Q: What should I wear for the Cave of the Winds part? Is it really that wet?

A: Definitely wear something that you don’t mind getting soaked! The Cave of the Winds is pretty much a waterfall experience, so you'll want a good rain poncho or waterproof clothes. Also, wear sturdy shoes because it can get slippery. I wore flip-flops, and that wasn’t the best choice!

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes! The provider is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. Just give them a call if you know it’s going to rain heavily. They’ll help you find another day that works. Just make sure to check the forecast ahead of time, so you're not caught off guard!

I’m considering this tour for my parents' anniversary. They love nature and have never been to Niagara Falls. The combo of the boat ride and the Cave of the Winds sounds amazing! I saw the price is $0, does that mean it’s a free experience? I really want them to enjoy the stories from the guide too. Anyone else done this?

Just got back from the Maid of the Mist & Cave of the Winds tour!

Wow, what an experience! The boat ride was super fun, and the view of the Falls is something else. The Cave of the Winds part is as intense as they say! You really get up close and personal with the water. Our guide was really knowledgeable too. Definitely recommend it, but bring a poncho if you wanna stay dry!
