Q&A

Q: Can kids join this hike or is it more for adults?

A: This hike is great for all ages! The trail is wide and paved, so it's very accessible for kids, plus the views are breathtaking. I took my 8-year-old and she loved it! Just keep an eye on them near the edges, but overall, it’s a fantastic family activity.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Do they reschedule or refund?

A: If the weather isn’t cooperating, the tour provider will usually reschedule you to another day. They want every guest to have a great experience, so if it’s unsafe to hike, they’ll work with you to find a new time. Just be sure to check their cancellation policy in advance!

Q: What should I wear for this hike? Is it casual or more sporty?

A: You can definitely keep it casual! I'd suggest wearing comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes and some breathable clothing. It can get a bit warm, so light layers are best. Also, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat if it’s sunny out!

Thinking of gifting the Makapuu Lighthouse Tour!

Hi all! I’m considering gifting the Makapuu Lighthouse Guided Tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love easy hikes and the whale watching sounds unreal! Has anyone done this one? What was your experience? Any tips?

Just did the Makapuu Lighthouse Tour!

I just got back from the Makapuu Lighthouse Guided Tour, and it was AMAZING! The views are breathtaking, and our guide was super knowledgeable about the area. The trail is easy but be ready for some sun! Definitely recommend bringing a water bottle, even though they provide some. Anyone else been on this tour?
