Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for making the glass beads? I'm thinking about gifting this to my teenager.

A: Great question! The Melting Point welcomes participants of all ages, but I recommend that younger kids come with an adult. It's a fun and safe environment, but just keep in mind that there’s fire involved, so you’ll want to supervise them closely. My 14-year-old loved it!

Q: What should I wear for this glass bead making experience? Any advice?

A: Comfortable clothing is key! You might get a bit warm near the furnace, so I'd suggest wearing short sleeves if it's chilly outside. Closed-toe shoes are a must since you'll be working with hot materials. I also recommend leaving any fancy jewelry at home—better to be safe than sorry!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Will they cancel the class?

A: Usually, they won’t cancel unless there's severe weather. The studio is indoors, so you're safe from rain. If you can’t make it, they’re pretty flexible with rescheduling as long as you give them a heads-up! I had to change my date last minute and they were super accommodating.

Thinking about gifting the glass bead class to my mom!

Hey everyone! I’m considering this gift for my mom's birthday. She loves arts and crafts, but I’m a little worried if it's beginner-friendly. How did you feel about the difficulty level? Any tips?
