Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for kids on the Makena Turtle Town Eco Adventure?

A: The tour is friendly for families, but they recommend kids be at least 5 years old for safety reasons. It’s a fun outing, and the guides are great with kids! Just keep in mind that younger kids might need a bit more help with paddling and snorkeling.

Q: What should we wear for the eco adventure? Is there anything specific?

A: Wear a swimsuit under your clothes! You’ll get wet snorkeling. Also, don't forget reef-safe sunscreen and a hat or sunglasses for sun protection. Flip-flops are fine, but water shoes are better if you have them.

Q: What happens if the weather’s bad on the day of the tour? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather isn’t suitable, they’ll contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund. It’s really flexible since safety is their priority. Just keep an eye on the forecast as the date gets closer!

Just got back from the Turtle Town Eco Adventure and WOW!

I did the Makena Turtle Town Eco Adventure last week, and it was incredible! The snorkeling was the highlight—so many sea turtles swimming right next to us. The guides were super knowledgeable and funny. We paddled from Makena, which was really calm and beautiful. Just a heads up, it took a bit of effort to paddle, so be prepared for that! Totally recommend this for families, couples, or anyone who loves the ocean!

Thinking of gifting this experience—any tips?

I’m planning to give the Turtle Town Eco Adventure as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves marine life! Just wondering if anyone has tips on the best times to go or if there's any chance we might see other wildlife besides turtles?
