We are an Austin, TX-based global custom event design company offering scavenger hunts and other events in 300+ cities in North America and beyond. Our specially hand-crafted adventures are equal parts tour, creative challenge, detective hunt, and social experiment! Guests get to discover in an alternate reality our favorite hidden gems off the beaten trail and creatively interpret fun art, history, and culture clues - for points! They get to enjoy fame and glory while appearing on our website’s international leaderboard, no matter what their score. They get to essentially race other teams in other cities, even if they don’t have competitors who have signed up in their city that day. Q: Is there an age limit for the scavenger hunt in Santa Barbara?

A: There's no official age limit, but it's designed for ages 10 and up since it involves reading clues and figuring out puzzles. Younger kids might need a little extra help from adults. It's super fun for families though, and my 12-year-old loved it!

Q: What should we wear for the scavenger hunt? Is it outdoors?

A: Definitely wear comfy shoes since you'll be walking around Santa Barbara! It is mainly outdoors, so check the weather. Layers are key because it can get chilly by the beach. I wore sneakers and a light jacket, and it was perfect!

Q: Can we reschedule if we have to cancel our scavenger hunt?

A: Yes! Alley Kat Adventures allows rescheduling, but make sure to give them at least 24 hours notice. They’re pretty flexible, which is great. Just reach out to them via email or their website.

Just finished the Santa Barbara scavenger hunt - wow!

Wow, I just did the Malibu Santa Barbara Blitz Scavenger Hunt this past weekend, and it was so much fun! The remote guide helped us find some hidden gems, and we got super competitive with the leaderboard! I can’t believe it was free, we felt like it was worth so much more. Definitely recommend it!
