Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the kayak tour? Is it okay to wear flip-flops?

A: I'd recommend wearing water shoes or sandals that strap on, just to be safe. Flip-flops could come off while paddling and can be slippery on the kayak. Also, bring a hat and sunscreen because you'll be out in the sun for a bit, especially at Shell Key beach!

Q: Are there age restrictions for this tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids are definitely welcome on this tour! It’s designed for all experience levels, and younger kids can kayak with an adult. Just check with the provider ahead of time to make sure you have the right kayak setup for your group.

Q: What happens if it rains? Will the tour be canceled?

A: If it rains, they usually reschedule or offer a full refund. It's best to check the weather beforehand and call the provider to confirm. They’re super accommodating and want to make sure you have a great experience!

Just did the Mangrove Tunnels Kayak Tour and it was amazing!

Hey everyone! I just got back from the Mangrove Tunnels Kayak Tour in St. Pete, and wow, it was such a vibe! Paddling through the tunnels was super serene and we saw dolphins and all sorts of birds. The beach at Shell Key was gorgeous, too! Perfect spot to chill for a bit. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves nature. We also got a ton of awesome photos emailed to us afterward. Totally worth it!

Thinking of gifting the kayak tour for my parents' anniversary!

Hey all! I’m considering gifting the Mangrove Tunnels Kayak Tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love the outdoors but haven’t kayaked before. Do you think this is a good idea? Any tips for first-timers? I want them to have a great experience!
