Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the kayaks on the Mangroves and Manatees tour?

A: Yes, there is a weight limit for the kayaks, usually around 400 lbs for doubles and 250 lbs for singles. It's designed to ensure stability and safety on the water. If you're unsure, just give PADDLE! a call before booking to clarify. They’re really helpful!

Q: What should we wear for the kayaking tour?

A: I'd recommend wearing lightweight clothes that can get wet, like a bathing suit and a quick-dry shirt. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen! Sunglasses are also a good idea. It can get sunny out there. Some people wear water shoes, but flip-flops are fine too since you don't actually have to get out of the kayak.

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of our tour?

A: If rain is in the forecast, PADDLE! typically checks the weather and may reschedule the tour to ensure everyone's safety. They’ll contact you ahead of time if they need to change plans. Just make sure you provide your contact info when booking!

Just booked the Mangroves and Manatees tour! Any tips?

Hey everyone! I just booked the Mangroves and Manatees guided kayak eco tour in Key Largo for next month as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves nature, and I think it’ll be a fun adventure! I’m a bit nervous since I’ve never kayaked before. Any tips on what to expect or what to bring with us?

Experiencing the Mangroves and Manatees tour was AMAZING!

Just got back from the Mangroves and Manatees tour and wow, it was incredible! We saw a manatee swimming right next to our kayak, and the guide was super knowledgeable about the ecosystem. The shallow waters made it easy for us to paddle around. Definitely recommend this as a gift experience!
