Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit mentioned, but I'd recommend kids be at least 8 or 10 years old. They need to have some comfort in the water and be able to manage the snorkeling gear. Just make sure they're good swimmers since the experience can be a bit challenging for younger kids. Always better to check directly with Snorkel Big Island to see if they'll accommodate your situation!
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit underneath and maybe a light jacket or cover-up for when you’re on the boat. The water is warm, but it can get a bit chilly once you're out at night. They provide shorty wetsuits, which help with warmth too. Just don’t forget something comfy for after the tour!
A: If the weather is too rough or unsafe, they will cancel the tour. You’ll get a full refund or can reschedule for another date. It’s really up to the crew's judgment to ensure everyone’s safety. I recommend calling them the day before to get their take on the weather reports!

Amazing Experience! Manta Ray Night Snorkel on Big Island
Just got back from the Manta Ray Night Snorkel in Kona and it was absolutely breathtaking! Seeing those majestic creatures up close was surreal. The crew from Snorkel Big Island was super professional and made sure everyone was safe. We saw at least 10 mantas! Just a heads up, make sure you can climb that vertical ladder onto the boat; it’s a little tricky if you're not used to it. But honestly, worth every moment!
Considering gifting the Manta Ray Night Snorkel Experience!
Hey everyone! I’m looking to gift the Manta Ray Night Snorkel to my partner for their birthday. They love marine life but have never snorkeled before. Is this a good fit for a beginner? I’d love some thoughts!
