Q&A
A: If you're staying in downtown Boston, the easiest way is to take the T (subway) to Haymarket and then it's just a short walk to the pickup spot. Alternatively, rideshares are available, but expect around $15-20 depending on traffic. Just plan ahead because mornings can get busy!
A: There are no strict age limits for this tour, but I’d recommend it for kids 8 and up since there’s a lot of walking and listening to the guide. They might get bored if they’re younger. Also, kids can enjoy the mansions, but be sure they understand to be respectful inside!
A: The tour goes on rain or shine, but if it's really bad, they may adjust the schedule or provide umbrellas. Make sure to check the forecast and dress accordingly. I recommend wearing layers and possibly waterproof shoes since you'll be walking around a lot!

Just got back from the Newport tour - totally recommend it!
I just did the Marble House and Breakers tour from Boston, and it was fantastic! The mansions are stunning, especially the Breakers. Our guide was super knowledgeable, and the views of the coastline on the way were breathtaking. I went with my sister, and it made for a perfect day trip! I think it’s a great gift idea for anyone who loves history or architecture.
Considering the Newport tour for my in-laws
I'm looking at getting the Breakers and Marble House tour as a gift for my in-laws. They love history and have never been to Newport. Is it worth it? Also, how much walking is involved? Trying to gauge if it's suitable for them.
