Q&A

Q: How likely are we to see dolphins on this tour? What time of year is best?

A: Dolphins are pretty common on this tour, especially during the warmer months from late spring to early fall. During this time, the waters are warmer, making it ideal for them to be out and about. I've seen them eight out of ten times I've gone! Just keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready.

Q: What should we wear for the dolphin tour? Is it like a boat ride?

A: Definitely dress comfortably! It’s a boat ride, so wear light clothing and maybe a hat or sunglasses. Water shoes are also a good idea since you might want to hop off to shell on the beaches. Don't forget sunscreen, as you'll be out in the sun!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? Can my 5-year-old join?

A: No age limit! Kids of all ages can join this tour. It’s quite family-friendly, and my son who’s 6 loved it. Just keep an eye on them since it’s a boat, but the guides are really great with kids too.

Just booked the dolphin and birding tour - any tips?

I'm really excited! Just booked the 2-hour Dolphin, Birding, and Shelling Tour in Marco Island for next weekend. I’ve heard it’s beautiful out there! Any tips on the best spots for birding or what to bring? Also, what’s the chance we’ll see any manatees? Hope it's not too crowded!

Who else has done this tour? What was your experience?

I just got back from the dolphin and birding tour and wow, I’m blown away! The naturalist was super knowledgeable and we saw dolphins playing right next to the boat. We even spotted some eagles! I’m thinking of gifting this to my parents for their anniversary. Just wondering how it would be for older folks?
