Q&A
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit, but I'd recommend bringing a light rash guard or a quick-dry shirt for sun protection. Water shoes are great for traction, but they also provide comfort if you have to walk on rocky areas. Don't forget your sunscreen, too! The guides usually provide a safety talk, so they’ll cover any other essentials.
A: The kayaks are designed for stability, especially the doubles, so beginners should feel pretty secure. The guides are super helpful and will assist you if you're feeling unsure. It’s a great experience for first-timers! Just paddle at your own pace and enjoy the views.
A: If weather conditions aren't safe, they usually call you to reschedule, and it's pretty flexible. Just keep an eye on the forecast! If something urgent comes up and you need to change your plans, they’re pretty accommodating. It's best to check directly with the provider for their specific policy.

Just did the Maui Kayak and Snorkel Tour—AMAZING!
I can't recommend the Maui South Shore Kayak Tour enough! The paddle along Makena Beach was stunning, despite being a bit challenging at times. We saw tons of colorful fish and even turtles while snorkeling. The guides were super friendly and made everything easy for us. Just a heads up: bring a waterproof camera if you can, because the underwater views are spectacular!
