Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the surf lessons at Kalama Beach?

A: Yes, the surf lessons are great for kids ages 8 and up. They usually do well with the soft surfboards since they're a bit more forgiving. Just make sure your kids are comfortable in the water! Safety is a priority, and the instructors are super patient.

Q: What should I wear for the surfing lesson? Anything special?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit and maybe a rash guard if you have one. The soft surfboards are pretty safe, but it's good to have some protection from the sun and the board. Also, don't forget sunscreen! You'll be out in the sun for a while.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the lesson?

A: If the weather’s not good for surfing, the instructors will usually reschedule or offer a refund. They keep an eye on the conditions and prioritize safety. Just make sure to check closer to your booking date, and don’t hesitate to reach out to them to confirm.

Just got back from my surf lesson at Kalama Beach!

OMG, I can't believe how much fun I had! The instructors were so chill and made it easy to learn. I was totally a beginner and still caught a few waves. The location is beautiful, right on Kalama Beach. If you're looking to gift someone a cool experience, I’d highly recommend this! Can't wait to go back!

Thinking about gifting the Maui Surf Instruction to my sister!

Hey everyone! My sister's turning 30, and I thought this surf lesson would be an epic gift. She's always wanted to try surfing but never had the chance. Has anyone done this? Would it be good for a total newbie? Any tips?
