A: There’s no strict age limit! Kids as young as 7 can join the beginner group lessons, and they cater to adults too. Just make sure everyone is comfortable in the water. Surf Shack Maui really promotes a fun and safe environment for all ages.
A: You'll be provided with rash guards and water booties, but wearing your swimsuit underneath is a must. I recommend bringing a towel and some flip-flops for after the lesson. Also, sunscreen is key because you’ll be out on the water for a while! Don’t forget a waterproof bag for your stuff.
A: Surf Shack Maui is pretty flexible with rescheduling. If conditions aren’t safe for surfing, they’ll let you know and give you options to reschedule or refund. It's best to call them ahead of the lesson if you're concerned about the weather.

Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Maui and want to book this Two Hour Beginner Group Surf Lesson for my family. We’ve never surfed before but really want to give it a shot. Does anyone know if the instructors are good with kids? Also, are there any good spots to grab lunch nearby after our lesson?

I took the Two Hour Beginner Group Surf Lesson in Kihei last week and wow, it was so much fun! The instructors were super friendly and really helped me catch a few waves. I’m totally hooked now! If you’re planning to book, definitely go for it. They provide everything you need. Just remember to wear sunscreen!
