Our most popular Ultimate Whale Watch experience! small groups make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard. Our inflatable rafting vessels are modeled after Coast Guard rescue rafts and are safe, extremely agile providing the best platform to experience whales and have a fun ride. Our vessel allows you to be close to the ocean surface. Giving you the feeling of being with the whales in there natural environment. From this vantage point photography captures a unique perspective of looking up at the animals when they breach the surface. Our Captains are trained to find the most surface active, diverse behaviors and best photo scenarios. All trips from December – April are guaranteed to see whales or you go again for FREE! We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to go on the whale watch?

A: There's no strict age limit, but the experience is definitely better for kids who are at least 5 years old. They need to be able to follow safety instructions and enjoy the ride! The company is super accommodating, and the guides are great with kids, so it's a fun time for the whole family.

Q: What should I wear for the whale watch? Any tips?

A: Definitely wear layers! It can get a bit chilly out on the water, especially in the morning. A light jacket or windbreaker is perfect. Also, bring sunglasses and sunscreen since you'll be out in the sun a lot. Comfortable shoes that can get wet are a must too!

Q: How often do they cancel due to weather? Should I worry about that?

A: Weather cancellations do happen occasionally, but the crew is really good at assessing conditions. If they do have to cancel, they help you reschedule for a later date. Just keep an eye on the forecast! They usually know a few days in advance if conditions are turning bad.

Super excited for my Maui whale watch trip next month!

Just booked the Ultimate Whale Watch from Lahaina, and I can’t wait! I've heard the small boats are awesome for getting close to the whales. The guarantee to see whales or go again for free is a huge plus. Any tips for capturing great photos? Planning to go in early February, so I hope the whales are out and about!

Just got back from the whale watch – it was incredible!

OMG, I just came back from the Ultimate Whale Watch in Maui! We saw so many humpbacks, and the guides were super knowledgeable. They really help you understand the whales' behavior. Honestly, the boat ride was a blast, too! Highly recommend this experience if you're thinking about it for gifts or just for yourself. What a day!
