Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best suited for kids 8 and older since the drive can be long and the sunset viewing might be late for younger ones. Just keep in mind that some of the hikes at Haleakala can be a bit challenging for little feet. If you think your kids can handle the adventure, they'll love it!
A: Parking is included with the tour, so you won't have any issues there! The tour guides handle all the logistics, which makes it super easy. Just sit back and enjoy the ride through the different climate zones—it's a pretty scenic trip.
A: Dress in layers! The temperature can drop a lot at Haleakala, especially during the sunset. I'd recommend a light jacket or sweater for the summit. Comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be doing some walking. And don't forget your sunscreen for the day!

Just did the Maui Upcountry Drive tour! Amazing views!
I took the Maui Upcountry Drive tour last week, and wow! The drive through those six climate zones was breathtaking. Seeing the volcanic terrain at Haleakala and then the sunset was like something out of a movie. The snacks provided were also really nice, and we even stopped at the Ocean Vodka Distillery for a drink. Highly recommend this tour as a gift for anyone who loves adventure!
Considering this tour for my parent's anniversary, need advice!
I’m thinking of gifting this Maui Upcountry Drive tour to my parents for their anniversary. Has anyone done it recently? I want to make sure it’s worth it. They love nature but not super into long hikes. Do you think they'd enjoy it? Any tips would be great!
