Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour?

A: Yes, they recommend kids be at least 6 years old for this canoe tour. It's a fun experience, but younger kids might have a hard time with the paddling. Just make sure they're comfortable in the water and can follow instructions. It’s a great family activity if you have the right age group!

Q: What should I wear for the Mendenhall Glacier Canoe Tour?

A: Definitely dress in layers since it can get chilly out there on the lake. They provide waterproof pants and jackets, but wearing a thermal base layer and some warm socks is a good idea. Also, don't forget a hat and gloves since the wind from the glacier can be pretty brisk. Just be prepared for anything!

Q: Can this experience be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes! Liquid Alaska Tours is super accommodating with weather-related issues. If there's rain or another safety concern, they will work with you to reschedule for another day that fits your schedule. Just be sure to contact them as soon as you know your plans might change.

Just did the Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour and wow!

I went on the Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour last week and it was absolutely stunning! The views of the glacier were breathtaking, and our guide was super knowledgeable. The 30-minute ride to the launch site was scenic too. They provided everything we needed, and being in a small group made it feel more personal. Totally worth the money, and I think it makes an amazing gift for anyone who loves nature!

Thinking of gifting the Mendenhall Glacier Canoe Tour!

I’m considering this tour as a birthday gift for my dad who loves the outdoors. Has anyone done it recently? I want to make sure it’s as good as it sounds. Also, how was the food provided? I heard there are snacks and a hot drink?
