Q&A
A: There's no strict minimum age, but kids should be able to walk and handle a few hours in the park. It's great for families, but keep in mind some of the cliff dwellings require a bit of climbing. Just check with the guide beforehand if you're unsure!
A: The hike to Cliff Palace is moderate. There are some steps and uneven paths, but it's manageable for most. Just wear good shoes and take your time. The ranger gives a great overview at the top, so it’s worth it!
A: Dress comfortably! I'd recommend lightweight, breathable clothing, and definitely wear sturdy shoes for walking. Also, bring a hat and sunscreen since you'll be outdoors for a while. Layers are a good idea since it can get cool in the morning.

Thinking about gifting the Mesa Verde Highlights Tour for my parents!
My folks are visiting Durango in October, and I was thinking of gifting them the Mesa Verde Highlights Tour. They love history and nature, and I think they’d enjoy seeing the cliff dwellings! Anyone done this tour recently? Would love to hear your thoughts on the views and the tour guide!
Just completed the Mesa Verde Highlights Tour!
OMG, I just got back from the Mesa Verde Highlights Tour, and it was incredible! The Cliff Palace was jaw-dropping, and our guide made history come alive. If you're thinking of going, do it! Just a heads up, the snacks they provide are pretty basic, but who cares when you have those views?!
