Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the tour? My friend is quite large and I want to make sure they can enjoy it.

A: There's no specific weight limit for the Mesa Verde tour itself, but I recommend checking in with the provider beforehand for any vehicle size considerations. The tour is conducted in an air-conditioned van, so it should be comfortable. Just let them know about any concerns when you book!

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it physical? Like, should we wear hiking boots?

A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes since you’ll be doing some walking, especially if you opt for the ranger-led tour at Cliff Palace. Hiking boots or sturdy sneakers are a good call! It’s also good to check the weather in advance; layers are always smart because it can get chilly in the mornings.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule the tour?

A: If the weather looks severe, Mountain Waters Rafting will usually contact you to discuss options. You can typically reschedule for another day that works for you. Just be sure to read the cancellation policy when booking to be fully informed!

Just booked the Mesa Verde tour! Anyone done it yet?

I'm so excited! I just booked the half day tour for next month. I've always wanted to see Cliff Palace and learn about the history. I heard the guide is super informative. Anyone have tips about what to bring or what to expect? I'd like to know if it's worth it for a first-timer like me!

Thinking about gifting the Mesa Verde tour, any thoughts?

I wanna get my brother something cool for his birthday, and he's really into history and nature. The Mesa Verde tour looks amazing, but is it really worth it? Like, will he appreciate it? Or are there better experiences I should look at?
