Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 8 years old to paddleboard and 5 years old for tandem kayaking with an adult. It's really about their comfort level and ability to swim. Also, make sure they can wear the life vests comfortably! It's a fun way to introduce them to the water!
A: If there are weather issues, they typically reschedule your booking without any extra fees. Just make sure to call ahead or check their website for updates. It's Miami, so sometimes storms pop up quickly! Better safe than sorry!
A: Manatee season runs from November to April, and that's definitely the best time to see them! If you go during these months, you'll have a high chance of spotting them swimming alongside you. Just remember to paddle quietly - they’re pretty shy!

Thinking of gifting a Miami kayak rental - any tips?
I’m thinking about getting a kayak rental for my brother's birthday. He loves the outdoors, but I’m nervous if he’d enjoy it or if it’s too difficult. I noticed the manatee season is coming up, which sounds awesome! How easy is it to paddle around Lamar Lake? Also, any tips on parking there?
Just did the kayak rental - amazing experience!
I just got back from renting a kayak at Lamar Lake and WOW! We saw dolphins and even a manatee! The views of the Miami skyline from the water were stunning. They provide everything you need, which made it super easy. If you’re considering this for a gift, I’d say go for it! Just remember to wear sunscreen!
