Q&A
A: The sailing experience usually lasts about 2 to 3 hours, depending on the cruise type you choose. It’s definitely kid-friendly, as they provide life jackets for all sizes, even toddlers! Plus, the crew is great with families and makes it a fun time for everyone.
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm in Seattle, but once you’re out on the water, it gets chilly. They provide polar fleece pullovers if it gets too cold, but I suggest bringing a light jacket just in case. Comfortable shoes are a must too!
A: Yes, they’re really accommodating about rescheduling due to weather! Just give them a call as soon as you know it’s going to be bad. They’ll help you find another time that works for you. So no worries there!

Incredible Sunset Sailing on Puget Sound!
I just got back from the sunset sailing experience out of Shilshole Bay and WOW! The views of the Olympic Mountains were breathtaking, especially as the sun set. Captain Grant really knows how to make the trip enjoyable with his storytelling. We even spotted some sea lions! Highly recommend for anyone looking to do something special in Seattle. I’m considering gifting this to my parents for their anniversary!
Thinking About Gifting the Sailing Experience
Hey all! I’m considering this sailing experience for my sister’s birthday. She loves outdoor adventures but I’m a bit worried about seasickness. Any tips? Also, what’s the best time of year to go for the sunset cruise?
