Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the rafting trip?

A: Yes, there is generally a weight limit for safety reasons, usually around 250 lbs per person. It’s best to check directly with Tributary Whitewater for the exact details as they might have specific requirements. If you're unsure, definitely give them a call before booking!

Q: What should we wear for the rafting trip?

A: You’ll want to wear quick-drying clothes like a swimsuit or board shorts. It's also a good idea to have a rash guard or a light long sleeve shirt for sun protection. Don’t forget a pair of water shoes or sandals with straps. And definitely bring a change of clothes for after!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, Tributary Whitewater has a rescheduling policy in place for severe weather. If they cancel the trip due to unsafe conditions, you’ll usually get an option to reschedule for a later date or get a refund. Just be sure to check their policy on their website before booking!

Thinking about gifting the Middle Fork American River rafting trip!

I’m considering this full-day rafting experience for my friend's birthday next month. It sounds awesome, especially with the deli lunch included! Has anyone done this? I’m a bit nervous because it mentions needing good swimming skills and having a minimum age of 14. My friend's son is 15, but will he be okay with the Class 4 rapids? Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

Just came back from the Middle Fork rafting trip!

I did the full-day rafting trip on the Middle Fork last weekend and it was EPIC! The views are insane, and the thrill of the rapids is like nothing else. We had a fantastic lunch by the river too. It’s a perfect way to spend a day outdoors. Just a heads-up, wear the right shoes! I saw some people struggling with flip-flops. I can’t recommend this enough!
