The Ocoee River formed naturally without any of the undercuts or sieves present in most waterways. For our rafters that means we can push the boundaries of what a non-professional can experience. At OAR we train for longer then any other company. We are also the only company that requires each guide to complete an EMR certification as well as a Swiftwater Rescue class. This enables us to confidently do things on the water other companies can't and take guests that other companies won't.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Middle Ocoee Whitewater Rafting?

A: You’ll want to wear a swimsuit or quick-drying shorts and a moisture-wicking shirt. Definitely bring along a pair of old sneakers or water shoes because you might get wet! Also, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat if it’s sunny. The guides will provide you with all the necessary gear, but your comfort is key.

Q: Is there an age limit for the Ocoee Rafting experience?

A: Yes, for the Middle Ocoee rafting, participants typically need to be at least 12 years old. It’s great for teens and adults, but younger kids might need to stick to calmer waters. Always best to check with the provider to confirm the latest age policies, especially for group bookings.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, if the weather conditions are unsafe, you can reschedule for another day. The guides are all about safety first! Just make sure to contact them as soon as you know you need to change your plans. They’re pretty accommodating about that.

Thinking about gifting the Middle Ocoee Rafting experience!

I’m considering this for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves adventure and I think this would be perfect! I read that they provide lunch, which is awesome. I just hope he enjoys the rapids; I've never done anything like this before. Has anyone done this tour? Would it be a good first experience?

Rafting experience - worth it?

I’m debating whether to sign up for this whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River. I like the fact that they provide all the gear and lunch. But, I’m worried about the difficulty level. I’ve never done anything like this! Can a beginner handle it?
