Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this walking tour? Can kids join?

A: There’s no age limit! The tour is designed for anyone who can walk at their own pace, so kids can definitely join. Just make sure they have a smartphone or you can share one. It’s a fun way to explore the city together!

Q: What’s the best time of year to do this tour? Any weather concerns?

A: It’s best to do this in spring or fall when the weather is pleasant. Summer can get really hot and winter can be pretty brisk. But since it’s self-guided, you can plan it for a nice day! Just check the forecast and dress accordingly.

Q: Is parking easy to find near Peavey Plaza?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky in downtown Minneapolis, but there are several garages nearby. Look for the parking ramp on 10th Ave – it’s usually not too crowded. Just keep an eye on the time if you’re on a meter!

Just finished the Mill City Self Guided Tour – what a vibe!

I just did the Mill City Self Guided Audio Walking Tour last weekend, and I loved it! The app was super user-friendly, and having it play as I walked was so handy. I started at Peavey Plaza and made my way to the Mill City Museum. Really loved the history about the flour mills! You can go at your own pace, which was perfect for me since I like to take my time. Totally recommend it if you want a chill way to explore Minneapolis!

Thinking of gifting the Mill City Tour – any thoughts?

I’m considering getting the Mill City Self Guided Tour for my parents. They love history and walking around new places, but I'm worried about them keeping up. How long does the tour usually take? Is it really as flexible as it sounds? I'm hoping they enjoy it!
