The total time for this tour is 2.5 hours including: the two hour flightseeing tour and fifteen minutes for the pick-up and fifteen minutes for the drop-off. This tour takes you on a flight from Ketchikan to the Misty Fjords National Monument with a landing on a freshwater lake or a saltwater fjord with approximately a thirty minute stopover.

A: There's no strict age limit, but young kids might need to be comfortable with flying. They do require that children are well-supervised and can use the headsets provided. Definitely check with the operator beforehand if you're unsure!

Q: What if the weather cancels the tour? Do I get a refund?

A: Yes! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ll work with you to reschedule. You can also get a full refund if that's not possible. I’ve heard great things about their customer service!

Q: How hard is the hiking part in Misty Fjords? Is it worth it?

A: It’s really not tough at all! The stopover is short, so you can just take a quick stroll and enjoy the view. If you’re up for it, there are some trails nearby, but they’re moderate. It's definitely worth it for the scenery!

I just got tickets for the Misty Fjords Seaplane Tour with Island Wings in Ketchikan! I'm super excited but also a bit nervous. I've never been in a seaplane before. What's it like? Do they have snacks, or should I pack something? Also, what's the best way to dress for this? Any tips would be awesome!

Misty Fjords Seaplane was AMAZING!

I just got back from the Misty Fjords tour, and wow! The pilot, Michelle, was great and super knowledgeable. The views of the fjords and mountains were breathtaking. We even landed on a lake! If you’re thinking of gifting this, DO IT. It’s worth every penny. Just be sure to check the weather first!
