Q&A

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can usually reschedule, but it's best to contact Gray Line San Francisco directly for their specific policy. They’re pretty accommodating, but try to give them at least 24-48 hours notice. Make sure to check your email confirmation for any specific details about rescheduling.

Q: Is there an age limit for this experience?

A: There isn't a strict age limit for this tour! It’s great for all ages, but keep in mind that the hike in Muir Woods is a bit uneven in spots. Kids will love the trees, and you'll find a lot of families on this tour. Just ensure younger ones are comfortable walking and you should be good to go!

Q: What should we wear for the Muir Woods part?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes! The paths in Muir Woods can be a bit rugged, so you want something sturdy. Dress in layers, since it can get cool under the trees but might be warmer when you get back to the bus. Also, if you're going in winter or early spring, a light rain jacket might be a good idea.

Thinking about gifting the Muir Woods and Sausalito tour!

I'm planning to gift my parents the Mix & Save experience because they love nature and the bay area. I think they'd really enjoy Muir Woods and the view of Alcatraz! But I’m a bit nervous about the logistics. What’s transportation like, and is there parking if they drive?

Just did the Muir Woods and Sausalito tour — WOW!

I just got back from this tour and it was amazing! The Giant Redwoods are more impressive in person. The cruise around Alcatraz was a highlight too! We even got some great photos of the skyline. I’d recommend bringing a camera and some snacks for Muir Woods since you get some free time to explore.
