Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this tour? Can kids join?

A: No age restrictions! This tour is suitable for all ages, so you can definitely bring kids along. Just make sure they're able to walk for a bit since it's a walking tour. The food is great for everyone, and kids usually love Uncle Larry's Southern cuisine!

Q: What happens if the weather's bad? Will the tour be canceled?

A: If the weather is too severe, like heavy rain or storms, they might cancel the tour for safety reasons. But they usually check the forecast and inform you ahead of time. Also, since there’s patio seating, some light rain might not change things much. Just keep an eye on your email for updates!

Q: How long is the tour and what should we wear?

A: The tour usually lasts around 2-3 hours, depending on your group’s pace. Since it's a walking tour, I'd recommend comfy shoes and lightweight clothing, especially in summer. It can get warm, but the patio seating helps with airflow!

Just did the MLK Walking Art History & Food Tour! 🤩

I went on this tour last weekend and it was amazing! The food at Uncle Larry's was to die for, especially the fried chicken. Learning about the history of the restaurants was so interesting. Chef Kenyatta Ashford’s take on food really adds a lot of flavor (literally!). It was also great to see the community vibe in Chattanooga. Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves food and history!

Considering gifting the MLK Food Tour for my husband!

I'm a bit torn about whether this would be a good gift for my husband. He loves trying new foods, but I'm not sure if he’d enjoy the history aspect. Do you think he’d appreciate it? Also, how’s the food at Chatt Smoke House?
