Q&A
A: Great question! The hike is generally suitable for kids, but they should be at least 8 years old to handle the terrain. Make sure they can swim a bit if they want to splash around in the creek. Just keep an eye on them since there can be slippery rocks. It’s super fun for families!
A: The parking at the trailhead is pretty straightforward. There’s a small lot that can fill up quickly on weekends, so I’d suggest arriving early. If it’s full, you may need to park a little further away and walk. Just be aware of the weather, as you don’t want to be hiking in the heat too long!
A: You’ll definitely want to wear lightweight, quick-drying clothes since you’ll be in and out of the creek. Water shoes or sandals with straps are a must! Also, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat. It can be super hot even with the creek, so stay cool.

Just did the Moab Slot Canyon hike and WOW!
I recently gifted the Moab Slot Canyon hike to my partner, and it was one of the best decisions ever! We hiked about 3 miles through this beautiful canyon with a flowing creek. Since it was super hot outside, the cold water felt amazing! We even had a mini water fight! Highly recommend this for anyone looking to escape the summer heat. Plus, being in such a beautiful, less-crowded spot felt magical. Just a heads up, check the weather before going!

I just booked the Moab Slot Canyon hike for my dad’s birthday and I’m so excited! He loves hiking and I think he’ll have a blast cooling off in the creek. I’m a little worried about the heat, but I think the creek will help. Has anyone done this in really hot weather? Any tips?
