Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Big Sur trip? Is it cold along the coast?

A: Layering is key! It can get chilly near the coast, especially in the morning and late afternoon. I’d recommend wearing a light jacket and comfortable shoes since you’ll be doing some walking in Carmel and around Monterey. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses too! It’s a beautiful area but the winds can be brisk.

Q: Is it easy to reschedule if our plans change?

A: Yes, Alegro Private Tours is pretty flexible about rescheduling. Just make sure to give them a call at least 48 hours in advance. They want to accommodate and make sure everyone has a great experience!

Q: How does the pickup/drop-off work? We’re staying in a hotel downtown.

A: Pickup is pretty easy! The driver will meet you at your hotel lobby. Just confirm the details with Alegro a day before your trip. They’re super accommodating with timing too, so if you need to leave earlier or later, just ask!

Just got back from the Monterey and Big Sur trip—wow!

I just took the private day trip from SF to Monterey and Big Sur with Alegro Tours, and it was incredible! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the drive down the coast feel so special. We spent time in Carmel and got to explore Cannery Row too. Definitely recommend it for anyone who loves beautiful views and chill vibes. The snacks and water they provided were a nice touch!

Thinking of gifting the Big Sur trip—any thoughts?

I’m considering getting this day trip for my parents’ anniversary. They love scenic drives and exploring new places! Do you think it’s suitable for older folks? I want it to be a memorable experience for them. Any advice would be awesome!
