Q&A
A: Whale sightings aren't guaranteed, as it's wildlife and totally unpredictable. But the cruise lasts about 3-4 hours, and the guides have a good track record of finding whales, dolphins, and other marine life. They let you know the best times and spots based on previous sightings. So, while you might not see whales, there’s still a good chance you'll spot plenty of other sea life!
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm on land but chilly on the water, especially with the wind. A light jacket and comfortable shoes are key. Also, don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen. The glare from the water can be intense!
A: Parking can be tricky, especially on weekends. There's a lot nearby, but it fills up fast. I recommend arriving a bit early to get a good spot. There are also some metered spots further away if needed. Just keep in mind to check the time limits!

Just got back from the Monterey Whale Watching Cruise!
I took my family on the Private Whale Watching Cruise last weekend and it was awesome! We spent about 4 hours on the water, sipping drinks and enjoying snacks. We didn’t see any whales, but we saw so many dolphins! The crew was super friendly and really tried their best to find whales for us. Honestly, even without the whales, it was such a beautiful experience. Totally recommend it for families or anyone who loves the ocean!
Thinking about gifting the Whale Watching experience!
I’m considering gifting this whale watching cruise to my parents for their anniversary. They love marine life! Just wondering if anyone knows about the age limit for kids? I want to make sure my younger siblings can join them.
