Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this bike tour? Can my 11-year-old ride?

A: Your 11-year-old can ride, but they’d need to be on a tandem with a parent since the minimum age to ride solo is 12. Make sure to check the height and weight requirements too! It’s a great way to enjoy the views together!

Q: How difficult is the ride? I'm not super fit, will I manage?

A: The e-bikes make it pretty accessible for all fitness levels. The route mainly follows flat areas and lower-speed roads, so you should be good! Just take your time and enjoy the views, the guides are really supportive.

Q: Is there parking available near the starting point? I don’t want to stress about that.

A: Yes, there’s parking near the starting point! There are public lots, but they can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Arriving early is a smart move!

Just did the 17 Mile Drive bike tour and it was AMAZING!

I went on the 17 Mile Drive Guided Electric Bike Tour last weekend and wow, what a ride! The coastline views were breathtaking, especially at Point Pinos Lighthouse. Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the history of Pebble Beach really fun to learn about. We saw sea lions lounging on the rocks! If you’re considering it as a gift, I can’t recommend it enough. Perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, even if they’re not hardcore bikers.

Considering gifting the bike tour, any thoughts?

I’m thinking of getting the 17 Mile Drive bike tour for my partner’s birthday. They love biking, but I’m worried about the weather in Monterey. Do they reschedule if it rains? I want it to be a great experience, not soggy!
