Q&A

Q: Can you do this tour in any weather, or should we wait for a sunny day?

A: You can definitely do this tour in various weather conditions, but I'd recommend checking the forecast beforehand. It can get a bit slippery around Fisherman’s Wharf if it rains, and some parts might be less enjoyable if it’s cold and windy. Dress in layers and bring an umbrella just in case!

Q: Is there an age limit for this audio tour? Thinking about gifting it to my kids.

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour, but it’s best suited for kids 10 and up. Younger kids might get bored since there’s a lot of walking and listening involved. It could be a great educational experience for older children, though!

Q: What’s the best way to get to the starting point of the tour? Is parking easy?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends. There are a few lots near the Salvador Dali Museum, but they fill up fast. I suggest getting there early or using street parking if you can find it. It’s also a short walk from other attractions in Monterey, so you can make it part of your day!

Thinking about the audio tour of Fisherman’s Wharf!

Hey, I'm thinking about gifting the self-guided audio tour of Fisherman's Wharf to my parents for their anniversary. They love history and mentioned wanting to learn more about Monterey. I saw that it includes three museums, and I think they’d enjoy the Big Little Lies filming spots too! Just curious if anyone has done this and what they thought?

Anyone else love the Fisherman's Wharf tour?

I just finished the self-guided audio tour at Fisherman’s Wharf and it was such a cool experience! The audio guide was super easy to use and I loved all the history about the fishing industry. Plus, the museums were a nice touch. The Salvador Dali Museum is a must-see! Definitely worth the time.
