Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the whale watching tour?

A: They don't allow kids under 3 years old on the boat. If you have young kids, you’ll need to plan for a sitter or wait until they’re older. It’s a pretty long trip out there, so you want to make sure they can handle it if you do bring kids.

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather’s bad?

A: Yes, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, they’ll typically cancel the trip and let you reschedule. Just make sure to check their policy when booking to confirm the details. It's pretty user-friendly!

Q: What should I wear for the whale watching tour?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly out on the water, even in summer. A windbreaker and some warm clothes underneath are a good call. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses too because the glare off the water can be intense!

Just got back from the Monterey Whale Watching Tour!

OMG, I just went on the whale watching tour in Monterey and it was AMAZING! We saw so many whales — humpbacks and even a few sea lions! The boat was super comfy, and the marine biologist on board was really knowledgeable. Definitely worth it, especially with the heated cabins. I’m thinking about getting this as a gift for my parents.

Considering the Whale Tour as a gift?

I’m thinking about buying this whale watching tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves nature and whales! Just curious if anyone here has done it and how the experience was? Also, is there a lot of walking involved, or is it pretty chill?
