During our off-roading and hiking adventure to Moon Canyon, we will be in the Tonto National Forest. Expect to see beautiful desert scenery including: Unique plants, cactus, and wildflowers that are native to the Sonoran Desert. Beautiful views of Ash Creek Canyon and the unique trees that grow next to it. There is always a chance to see wild animals such as cows, javelina, snakes, lizards, and birds. You will experience the Adventure of off-roading and hiking that will take you into wild and rarely traveled places you'd be unlikely to see on your own. The tour is guided and driven by our experienced tour guides to ensure safety.

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this off-road adventure? Thinking of buying it for my 10 and 12-year-olds.

A: Kids as young as 8 can join the adventure, but they need to be accompanied by an adult. The guides are great with kids and ensure everyone has a blast. Just make sure they’re ready for some hiking and bumps along the way! Sometimes the trail can get a bit rugged, but it’s all part of the fun!

Q: Can this experience be rescheduled if the weather is bad? And what if it’s too hot?

A: Yes, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you’ll be able to reschedule your tour. They keep a close eye on conditions, especially in the summer heat. Safety is a priority, so if it’s too hot or stormy, they’ll suggest a new date. Just make sure to call or email ahead of time!

Q: Is there any parking nearby at Chrysotile? I’m driving down from Phoenix.

A: Absolutely! There’s ample parking at the meeting spot in Chrysotile. It’s pretty easy to find. When you get there, just look for the Arizona Off-Road Adventures sign. Just arrive a bit early to ensure you have enough time to park and get ready for the tour!

Just did the Moon Canyon Off-Road Adventure and WOW!

I just got back from the Moon Canyon Off-Road and Hiking Adventure, and it was SUCH a blast! Our guide, Jake, was super knowledgeable about all the plants and animals. I didn’t expect to see a javelina in the wild! The views of Ash Creek Canyon were stunning. We got to hike a bit too, but it wasn't too strenuous, which was great since I’m not in the best shape. Highly recommend it for a unique gift!
