Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd recommend it for kids ages 8 and up. The hike can get a bit challenging in parts, and you want to make sure they can keep up and enjoy it. The guides are super accommodating and can adjust the pace based on the group. Plus, they provide snacks and water, which is a bonus!
A: The hike is moderate to challenging depending on the trail conditions. You'll encounter some steep sections, but the views are totally worth it! If you’re in decent shape and enjoy being outdoors, you should be fine. Just make sure to wear good hiking shoes and pace yourself!
A: Dress in layers, as the weather in Seward can change quickly! A moisture-wicking base layer is great, and definitely wear a good pair of hiking boots. Don’t forget a light rain jacket just in case. The guides provide snacks and water, but you'll want to pack a small backpack for your gear.

Thinking of gifting the Mount Marathon Bowl hike – any insights?
Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting my dad the Mount Marathon Bowl Guided Hiking Tour in Seward for his birthday. He’s an outdoorsy guy and loves learning about local history. The tour sounds awesome with the local guide and all the snacks included. Just wondering if anyone’s done it and what the views are like? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Just did the Mount Marathon hike, and wow!
I recently went on the Mount Marathon Bowl Guided Hiking Tour, and it was phenomenal! The local guide knows so much about the area – I learned a ton about the Mount Marathon Race and local wildlife. The hike is a bit challenging, but the views are worth every step. I even spotted a bear off in the distance! Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Seward!
